Need with server not showing

I was very disappointed to see the server issue was not actually fixed in that patch like many others noticed. Briefly, the servers are inconsistent showing up in the browser. Sometimes they do and sometimes they dont.

I would like to take another approach on the probabilty of the issue and ask that anyone NOT having a problem with their servers showing up to please post your full config with your passwords x'ed out. If a few could do that, that would be great. Thank you!

I see your server all the time Bouncer, it's been in my favorites list for some time. All the same, here's an example of my server config. I have it structured differently then as you'll see here (I break my config into 2 cfgs so I can execute part of it to change some settings but not alter other settings), but the info (minus PAM stuff) is all the same.

Anex, thanks for posting your config. Exactly as you said its always shows in the favorites is what I was hard headed for so long to neglect others complaints. I always use to see the server simply because they were in my favorites and neglected to hear others saying it wasnt showing up. What I did was deleted it from my favorites and made sure it wasnt cached and tried it agian. Yes they showed up but to make sure I started refreshing over and over for a while and right before I was about to quit it, my stock TDM server was missing. So I continued it for about 5-10 more minutes to find that after a few minutes more that the Realism server was now gone. The problem it has is the inconsistency of showing up on every refresh. FYI, I do wait for it to finish loading.

My config has this which is different from yours. Could this be it?

Shouldn't affect the in-game browser, codmaster.activision.com handles that I believe. Though without having sv_gamespy 1, it might not always show up in GameSpy.

If you notice when you refresh the server list, not all the servers are listed. It'll show 200+, 300+, 700+, 1300+, 2100+, and eventually the full listing of 3000+. I'm not sure why it does that but it does. You might want to put some of those squares in your name as well, so it shows up higher up in the returned list (just use enough to get in there, 4 or 5 should do the trick).

In the meantime, I'll try removing your server from my favorites and see what happens; I'll post back what I see/don't see...

I cleared everything Bounce, I still see all 3 of your servers listed. Like I said, I have to refresh a few times to get all the servers listed, but when I get them all yours all show up.

I made the adjustments listed in regards to protocol and the heartbeat section and got my server to show up in less then 40 mintues. Been trying for 3 months......... :cry:

I hear you Anex, and I appreciate you taking the time. I really dont know what to say. Maybe this bug has AI in it or something, hes obviously Axis too...lol. I have been able to see my servers for about two hours at a time but sometimes but I cant say I am always monitoring it though because it just gets fustrating.

Our servers have the same issue and it's getting really really old, you ahve to refresh multiple times to see the server. Refresh for 10 minutes or so and it might show up a few times, then blink back off again. I have no problem if our server sits empty if the server sux, that is our business to correct, but when it's because it doesnt show on the list, that pisses me off.

Yes I have heard the comments, use ASE etc, that's fine for me, but there are just to many people who rely on the in-game browser for it to continue to be broken.
