Wolfenstein MP beta leaked

Rumor has it that the MP beta for the up and coming Wolfenstein has leaked and is in the wild.

However you simply can't play MP with others because there are no master servers running. The work around is to play via LAN over the Internet using Hamachi. No we're not going to be hosting the file.

You don’t need hamachi to play or host, you can use Sudppipe to redirect the ports and so on to the servers.

The mp game does seriously need tweaking but it has pontentional to be good.

Will be interesting to see how it turns out to be when released, hope it wont be a 2nd ETQW.

The only thing I didn't like about Airborne game play was the spawn system. OK not the only thing... If you are going to revisit the old maps then don't change them! (OK rant over)

You dont need Hamachi, and there are dedicated servers out there. The master servers are live as well, however you wont be able to find any servers via the server browser. You will be able to take your XP from one server to the next, as long as you arent on a Hamachi server. :cool:

Im not going to tell anyone how to get the files, however if you wish to check out our server, please do. I will keep it up till the official game comes out. Then it will be the official release.

Bear in mind, it is going around that this is a leak beta/demo version of the game. That really is not true. This is the latst build of the MP that is going around. There is no SP, just the MP. If you want to try it out now, go for it. This is pretty much what it will be on release day.

You can connect by hitting CTRL- ALT - ~ key at the same time, to open the console. Then just use the connect command without the leading / and youre good to go.

Server is running an AMD Quad core with 8 gigs of RAM, high speed cable connection. If youre in the US, you should get a pretty good ping.

Peter Sokal of id Software has posted a note on a recent Wolfenstein Multiplayer leak. Damage control is a bitch. Leaks suck.

It was brought to our attention on Friday, 7/31 that a build of the Wolfenstein Multiplayer was leaked and is now being distributed illegally through breach of NDA and mirrors posted on the internet. I must warn anyone involved that Activision’s legal department is taking this matter very seriously.
Same applies here on the forums. If you mention that you have acquired this build, you are openly admitting to illegally obtaining the build and will be banned straight away. You have been warned.

With regards to any footage, screenshots and comments posted here and all over the internet, an important thing to keep in mind is that these were not created from a build of the game that was final or consumer ready. There’s nothing we can do about it now except continue working on the game.

Wolfenstein has been designed to retain elements that are the core of the Wolfenstein multiplayer experience, such as distinct classes and objective-based teamplay. We are also introducing new elements to the game with the Veil powers and persistent upgrades. After release we’ll make our SDK available, as well as release updates to address feedback from the competitive community.

For my self I love Wolf, RTCW was my 1st multiplayer game but I have not heard booo about the MP need some info before I go out and pay $60 for it. I need to see game types, characters selections, weapon selection ect.

They should just release a MP demo/beta and let us all see what we would be willing to spend our money on instead of having to read what others think about it. :)

Gametypes are: Obj.......TDM..........Stopwatch, same as obj, but teams take turns to see who completes the objectives the fastest.

Weapons: mp40, mp43, kar98, panzerfaust, flamethrower

Classes: engineer,medic,soldier

Weapon upgrades are available as you earn more money,by completeing the objectives.
