I'm trying to use my second computer to setup a temporary dedicated server for practices, but I seem to have one little problem -- I don't know the port number! Each time I try to connect it can't connect (just keeps attempting to connect), and I suspect that it has a wrong port number (I got my IP from whatismyip.com). Is there a command or something that I can use to determine my port number? How can I setup a dedicated server so that I will know what my port number is? Any help would be greatly appreciated, as my fellow clan members need a good place to practice, thx!

Ok there are a few reasons why this could be going on. Unless i am wrong COD always defaults to port 28960 so unless your putting in a differant port when trying to connect i don't think that's the issue. You said your doing this on your second computer. I asume then that you have a home network setup which means your using either a hub or a router prolly.
If it's a router then your going to have to go into the router setup an forward the port to the machine that your trying to run it on. I may be wrong but i think you could also setup that machine to be the dmz host and it would work also. If you can post more info about how you have it setup i would be more than happy to try and help you work this problem out.
