Hi all.
I have an issue with our server after update 1.5 .
There seems to be a cycleing pulse on the server after updateing it.
Its like a momentery lag spike that everyone has but never had before the update.
Doe's anyone else have this and if you have how did you cure the spikeing.
I dont even know whats making this happen but its doing it to all on the server.
I have checked if this effects anything else which it is.
Cod4 spiking and cod2 isnt spiking but there is something showing in the lago meter.
And what it this xinput1_3.dll and were is it ment to go.
It was in the server side download from joker.
But i have no idea what its for or used for.
Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance.

There's a big discussion around the lag spiking and most people believe its related to PB. It started on our servers after their July update.
There's several people asking to go post an open ticket with even balance to ensure it gets the attention it deserves.
While I can't prove its PB, the fact that its happening across multiple games makes it a strong suspect.

woowoo i would go along with the reason being pb.
But its the fact this only started after i patched the servers.
I cant say that patching it has made the problem stand out so its in view were before it was hidden.
That lag spikeing is so often its destroying the game for me and other clan members.
As i say it wasnt there before that we are aware of but it deffo is now.
I dont know if when i patched it somethings gone pear shaped but its so off putting dying to spikes.
And is there anything extreme in the patch that could do that to a server.
It also pulls my ingame fps down to 79fps from 125fps fixed and this is more noticable on the new maps.
But is effecting all maps in one way or another.
Can our server do that to client side too.
Plus all the people being kicked for restriction off service has gone through the roof.
Might we have a server issue.
And all the red lines in lagometer is unreal most of the time.
Ill still go and put a ticket in at EB and see what the do if anything.
And thanks for the reply woowoo.

Ok ive found out what the issue was.
After most of our clan patching to 1.5 we all got a weird lag spike or pausing.
So after giving pst.joker our server configs and command line to check he couldnt get it to do the same thing as our server.
But before i had news from him i had tryed everything to work this out.
And got to a dead end and thought a bit more.
I decided to remove the game from my pc and re-install it from fresh.
I patched the game in this order, 1.2-1.4-1.5.
Once i did this i started the game before putting my profiles back.
I chose a profile after login then exited the game.
Put my profiles back and didnt update pb and started the game again.
Well apart from the lag spikes everyone is getting at the begining of every map the issue with the long spiking has now gone.
So the patch had an effect on at least six of us in one clan.
Which to be fair is odd if anything.
So we know the server is still ok and smooth as it was before.
Thanks woowoo for the reply.

Thanks, Jason. I'm glad it's a local client problem and not the server files. I have the same lag spikes but not many players complain. I just happen to be a server perfectionist ;) and wanted it fixed, as well. I'll try the local game re-install.

Ok ken no problem.
I cant say this is going to work for everyone but you never know.
Better than hitting your head against a wall thinking that mght work.
And the other lag spiking must be to do with pb.
Hope it sorts a lot of peoples issues out.
