I was looking at the links for this site, and one I didn't see, or may have missed was http://codfiles.com/ So if it is already here and I missed it I do appologize. I like the look of the site Rude, its got a familiar homey feeling to it..hehehe.

I don't know if I'll be taking a crack at a realism mod for CoD. Chances are there will be quite a few decent ones at the time of the release. If I don't see any MP realism mods available around release time I'll take a shot at it.

Yeah, I know that Crow King and Crazy Yoda are already working on one (Crazy Yoda already has one for the demo). There are a few others out there, too. The realism for the game seems ok as it is, but there will always be others that are not satisfied.

NP Rude, I know you are a busy guy, I just thought I would help out where I can. I don't have any major commitments now that I am clan and serverless. Its kind of refreshing though.

If Crow King is making one...well then theres no need for me to.....I just hope he doesn't slow down the rof on the BAR....that was the main complaint on DK666's server waaay back when.

Lets just hope he doesn't speed it up so the other weapons become useless...

Historical ROFs. Period. That's as realistic as it gets, no?

Well, in the demo it is set at 300 and 500 rpm. That is as historical as you get. The loadouts are kinda squirrelly, but other than that...

The rof can be quite arguable and have been for quite some time. Yes its documented at a max of 500 rpm....but then again there quite a few versions of the BAR created and used during WW II. I have watched many documentaries over the last year to get the rof "right" for my MOH:SH SDR. What it comes down to is this, weapon rates change through wear and tear and/or due to field adjustments. So there were BAR's which fired like a snail and there were those which didn't. So to get a "historical" rof right is not easy, well easy enough, but not easy to please.

I hear that, SD. If I remember, the USMC forced the BAR to single fire? The did the modifications themselves, if I remember.

These guys wrote the book (literally) on the Thompson.

Do you know if there is anyway to change the sights in COD from the current ones to a Laserdot, I am hoping it will be possible to get a pk3 to drop in the folder to change this ?

According to the multiplayer video I watched they are going to try and keep it as realistic as possible ( no full screen scopes laser, dots and etc..) but you know someone will come up with some sooner or later. What you got to remember is there billing this game as the most realistic game to date. Don't think there was too many laser dots around during ww2. I would prefer not to have them, keeps every one on an even keel. But thats just my opinion.

I understand what your saying, I just dont like the way the current sight zooms in and out Im sure they didnt have that in WW2 either ?

I would rather have a static site, more like the original mohaa, for match play its just far easier to work with. The COD sight as it stands looks ok for single player but I know none of our clan like the look of it for matches.

I am around Floyd, I just don't have much time. I check your server several times a day to see who is on and what is going on. DBP will be moving to CoD a lot faster than I thought. Once the team members played the demo, they were sold. So our SH server will be discontinued by Jan 1, most likely.

(CA) Clan will be running a pure CoD Server. Period.
I don't want to get off on the same discussions and track as the custom scopes, laser dots, etc..

(CA) Clan server policy will be if it isn't server side mod, then don't use it. Period. That will apply for members and guests alike.
