Patching Server Help

I have a Windows Call of Duty server that is patched to 1.2. I did not patch it to 1.2 myself, someone else did, and im wondering if i need to shut down the server completely before uploading the patched files from my computer. And if i need to do this, how would i got about doing it? Is there an rcon command (not /rcon quit because the server restarts itself, not stay shut down). I am wondering this because there are 3 files that wont upload to the server. Any help would be much obliged. Thanks!

Right, those files are in use. My suggestion would be to have your server host do it. You are paying them money so a little service would be nice. At the very least they can shut down the game for you so you can upload the files then restart the server. The server host probably has a script running that restarts the server in the event its shut down..this is normally a good thing.. I'm not aware of an RCON command since the script is the thing doing it. Maybe someone will chime in with another suggestion.
