Ranked vs. Unranked

How do you tell or what sets the two apart?

Usually custom mods.
Anything other than stock settings usually means the server becomes unranked.
I say usually because you can get away with altering some chopper settings whilst keeping the server ranked but thats about it.

The later patches to cod4 allowed mods to retain ranks as well, but limited to servers that use the same mod folder-name.
