If you're going to setup a twitter account for the company you work for, to represent a game you may be working on. Please only use it to help spread information on the project or game in question. Keep the, what you had for lunch, where you stopped on the way home from work,..... on your personal twitter account.

I started following both bfheroes and officialbf1943, what a joke. That lasted about 10 minutes before dropping them both.

Hint: create a personal account and a company account. Keep the company account up to date with game related info and fresh news. Then the personal account with, what ever you like.

Rob Bowling (402 from IW) recently did the right thing and created an official IW account which is separate from his personal account (which he started first). This way, we can get news and all the good information in one spot and without having to wade through all the personal updates, thanks Rob!

You would think corporate managers would explain this to their employees.

m8 ever since you introduced me to twitter, well I'm an addict. If I dropped everyone that talked bollocks on twitter there would be no one left. It's the whole point of twitter...

Been thinking of making a new one for eXtreme mod, but I don't post alot of crap so I'm not sure *LOL*

I'm not so sure...I think the 'company' and 'personal' is the way to go, so I have to agree with RD on this. I certainly don't want to read about somebody's kid going potty for the first time when I'm looking for game info. Unless, of course, you're that kid's godfather or something...;)

The only reason they mix the two is so their personal accounts get more followers.

And I seem to recall Pendragon, you cleaning up a bit when you first started twittering ;).

It just seems to have gotten worst lately or their companies have nothing to talk about.

I took one look at twitter and dumped it completely. Tons of tripe. Its wonderful you can use your phone to post the blow by blow for breaksfast while waiting for a conference to open, but what makes anyone think I would care? The professional stuff as a news outlet could be useful, but the sillly details of the day are a waste of time.
