This is not looking good for die hard Battlefield fans, let alone PC Battlefield fans.

Some of the more interesting and telling answers:Will BF1943 have parachutes ?
BF1943 will have parachutes added again. No more falling down to a certain death!

Is there any clan support?
BF1943 will have support for private matches as mention here (http://www.gustavhalling.com/2009/02/08/battlefield-1943-qa/#more-49).

Does the health system regenerate to 100%?
Yes, the regenerating health system will after a certain time heal you up to 100% again and it’s completely automatic.

How are the plane controls
The plane controls are really awesome, easy to pick up and learn but we have some advance features that takes skill to master.

AA’s vs. Planes
Balancing and tweaking the game is the most important part for me and the AA’s are a real threat for any plane coming to close =)

There are still some questions about the replenish ammo system.
Please read this post, it will answer your questions=) (http://www.gustavhalling.com/2009/02/09/battlefield-1943-in-depth/#more-76)
Now the scary part, Gustav replies via the comments regarding mods:

with this I assume you haven’t yet had the time to answer my question about mods? http://www.gustavhalling.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif or just no comments about that at this time? I can’t comment on any of that, sry!
We all know that when EA or one of it's devs can't talk about something so close to release, it's not going to happen. I've also asked several times about dedicated servers. I at least hope I get a "I cant comment on any of that, sry" at least.

I think they just want us to buy it on console anyways. :o

Tbh I think this is just a little side project and is not planned to be the same scale as BF: BC2. Thats why there will probably be no mod tools introduced.

The only thing I can think of is that it's a teaser. Sort of "lets remind people about BF again" that's from the console point of view because the kids stop playing after a couple of weeks and trade the games in for new ones!

It has all of the hallmarks of the worse type of console port! No clan servers, low player numbers (WTF 24man) No mod tools. Features have been stripped out for the eye candy. You don't need more than three maps if your only going to be playing the game for a fortnight!

Console ports don't have to be bad, CoD:4 is an excellent port, MoH:Airborne was a total disaster CoD:5, well the jury is still out on that one...

Some console games should remain console games!

Anyone else notice...that when ever this Gordon Van Dyke guy gets asked if some feature is going to be included...he responds with...no we really wanted to focus things this time around.

So is the word "focused" now synonymous with less features? Or...less than what everyone was expecting from a Battlefield game?
