The Zombie Solo map in COD5 is a real hoot! You get it as soon as you complete all the solo campaign levels. I sure hope Treyarch fixes the bugs in the CO-OP game. Heck, I hope that maybe they would even develop a stand alone full-blown multiplayer Nazi Zombies game! I have been playing it alot over Christmas vacation, and have decided to post some tips and strategies to get to the upper levels that have worked for me. The best I have done so far alone is Level 20. I am sure there are plenty of folks out there who have done much better, but here are a few things I have learned. Now I know there are many vidoes on Youtube of people glitching and getting to over 1000 levels, but those are cheats, not strategies. Please post your own tips and strategies that you have found work well.

Levels 1 through 6:

These levels are what I call the "M1 Carbine" Levels: You start off with 500 points and a pistol. As soon as you kill 1 zombie, you will have enough points for the Carbine. Get it! Leave the Kar98 alone, it is worthless. Bolt action and aggressive Zombies don't mix! From then on, your sole focus should be on head shots. I am able to keep all the zombies from breaking through the barriers for the first 3 levels. By level 4, there are too many to keep out with an M1 Carbine. Here is a trick. When the Zombies break through the barriers, stay at one end or the other. When the zombies approach, they have a tendency to line up. When you shoot one, the bullet will pass through and hit the zombie behind him, which makes it easier to kill them. Killing the zombies in a line is crucial in the higher levels. By level 5 or 6, its time to switch to the next phase, the "M1 Thompson" levels.

Levels 7 through 12:

By level 5 or 6, you will have earned enough points to open both stairways, and get a Thompson off the wall in the Help room. DO NOT OPEN THE HELP DOOR!!! LEAVE IT CLOSED THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE GAME!!!!. By opening the stairs only, you will funnel a majority of the zombies to come down the stairs in the Help Room. This chokepoint will cause the zombies to more or less line up, making it easier to kill them.

Once you are in the help room, plant your self in the far back corner, in front of the window, next to the Thompson on the wall. You should have exchanged your .45 pistol for the Thompson, and have visited the Box a few times by now. Here is where luck plays into it. If you don't have either an MG (MG42 or .30 Cal) or the Raygun by now, it's very difficult to get past level 13 or 14.

By planting yourself in the back corner, you have no retreat option, and you have to cover 2 windows and the wall, but you keep most of the zombies coming down the stairs. Your kind of like a quarterback in the pocket. If the zombies force you out of the pocket, then your likely to get tackled.

Levels 13 and beyond:

These levels are just more of the same; Zombies coming down the stairs and you killing them. You will need the Raygun by now to survive. Also, when you use your nades, some zombies will be cut in half and crawling on the floor. Leave one alive if you can. It moves so slow, that it will give you plenty of time to rebuild all the barriers/earn points/visit the weapons box.

Weapons Tips:

The M1 Carbine takes normally 2 headshots to put a Zombie down. Put your front sight post on the head and go to town.

Hip shoot the M1 Thompson, keeping the crosshairs at or near the zombies heads. It takes off heads better than any other weapon.

Don't forget to throw nades! You get 2 nades each round. Don't forget to use them!

Load up with ammo at the end of every round, or when you can. Do not let yourself get low on ammo. This will be a killer for you.

If you use the flamethrower, shoot the zombies in short squirts. And remember, the zombies will still kill you when they are on fire. They take a few seconds to die after they are ignited.

Best weapons I have used so far:

1. M1 Thompson
2. Raygun
3. MG 42
4. .30 Cal
5. Flamethrower

Worthless weapons:

1. Sniper Rifles
2. Bolt Action Rifles
3. M1 Garand

I would also like to join up with other Zombie fans in CO-OP games. Please email me at thehumungus1127@hotmail.com if you want to arrange a game.

Hope these tips help!

That is a good strategy and we used to do that, but we found a better way. We open the door down stairs as soon as we can and start rolling the box. As soon as we all get good guns, we open the stairs in the room with the box and hold up in the room with the other couch. That way you only have to watch the one window and one door. Try that once and see what you get.

yeah been using that tactic a while TRTL. plus with a 3rd player standing behind the other 2, can lob nades at the door. the nades being readily available on the wall.

with a load of great new zombie maps out there, i've got hold of 10+ at present, we can get a decent thread going.

zombie bashing rulz!!
