Treyarch's Quality Control - NEVER HAPPENED!!!

huV91aIYsrM

No wonder people are abandoning this thing left and right. They are genuinely pissed off that Treyarch foisted this game off on them @ 50.00 and up broken and then went on vacation!!

Me??? I've had enough of the errors, glitches, broken redirect, ridiculous spawn logic and on and on and on.....

Server Authentication Failures
Spawn Logic in need of optimization
Optional Head Icons & Name Tags for both Friendly and Enemy Players
HTTP ReDirect FIX
alt+tabbing out, and back you get the black screen
Screenshots Broken - not incremental, they overwrite each other
Adding cg_drawfps feature
Adding /record feature
Players should not be able to put color in their name, like green to look like a teammate
Enter Prestige, server will not say "Primary grenade 0 is invalid. Setting to frag" in red text. Repeatedly
Co-op servers will show up correctly in server browser, many players have difficult joining others as well
Name tags should not show through walls - NO Enemy name tags at all or an Admin option.
Fix for when you quit the game, blue screen pops up and restarts computer
unhandled exception errors need to be fixed
cg_fov resets every round
Areas where they have used a clip or texture that doesn't provide a sound when walked across
The LOUSY Clipping should be more detailed..... far too many places that should be accessible are clipped/blocked in every map. Somebody was in a hurry.
Rooftop access and climbing of trees are a plus thus adding to playability, all the promos showed tree snipers.
Mod Tools also need to be patched too, as most people know all the mp prefabs for each game type (CTF,DS,HQ etc..) are missing also some of the basic csv files.
The DVARS that are not write protected that allow Rank Raping.

Hence forth and forever more, unless the crap in WaW is satisfactorily fixed...

Weekends will be a Call of Duty 4 muster for RGN except for WaW Open House Days.

I must admit after playing CoD:WaW almost exclusively since it came out. Our lot played CoD:4 for the first time this week. How refreshing to get back to the game. I can see us playing less CoD:WaW and more CoD:4 in future.

It might be time to lead some of the guys towards Forgotten Hope:2
A happy return to BF for some of us and an introduction to sand pit gaming for others...

The video looks like a lot of COD4 videos I've seen.

Yeap there is a lot of stuff to fix, with any luck things will be better after the next patch.

As for the spawning logic, I don't hate it as much as most folks do, to me I'd rather it this way then spawning in the same place and having to run across the map to get to the action. In addition to that I think it makes it harder on campers and snipers and makes things a bit more interesting.

Overall I like the game.

Yea, I agree... same video's were seen from COD4.

The biggest problem with Treyarch is they "say" they are doing a patch to fix major issues like redirect and mod support issues but nothing ever comes out. They are like the boy who cried WOLF! By the time they actually do fix the game nobody is going to be left to play it.

I mean come on... we are still waiting on the linux server files. What a joke.

MOH: Airborne syndrome comes to mind for me.

I bought the game on Steam and I still can't play the map Asylum. There are so many problem with this game-crashes----hacking plyers-----cracked servers---point boosted servers-----auto balance lag-----and on and on. Plain and simple this game is a sham, and someone should launch a class action lawsuit against them for fraud. I know this is severe, but the amount of problems goes way beyond the typical game release. also, when compared to a similar game, a very strong action needs to be taken against Treyarch. The bottom line is very few people got their money's worth from this game.
It's a shame too, because the game has a lot of potential.

to be honest and mark my words i dont think they can fix the things that need to be fixed.

for example HTTP redirect if they fix that ! how would it work since the mods come in your documents and settings local host invisible folder? this will never work a invisible folder needs to turned on by the administrator no program will override it.

this is one example or i am totally wrong about the redirect but the custom COOP zombie maps go in your documents and settings manualy this is probably where the other mods have to go?

i have flashbacks to moh Airborne patches to fix the game that become 1.5 gig or so pffffff:rolleyes: dont get me wrong but if i look at this list i cant see that they will fix any of it most of it is hardcoded and canot be fixed with a few iwd.s

pfff. get over it. it was our choice to go with this new game, so we made a mistake and went with it. I went with airborne for a week then switched over to COD4 and am sorry I ever left the COD4 game.

stick the waw game back on the shelf and never buy anything again from Treyarch.
never.

just like never buy anything again from EA.

IW appears to be the real deal, considering how COD4 was rolled out and patched with enormous support and feedback from the community.

Lets lobby IW to get a WW2 game out. They would so roll over Gayarch :p :p :D

I'm playing WaW pretty faithfully (between breaks of Peggle & Elf Bowling :D) for the moment, problems aside. My take on it is I won't be in it for the long haul. It's something new now, but I often say all roads lead back to MoH (at least for me). I played TF2 for about 6 months after it came out (even upgraded to run it smoother (after my upgrade for Airborne :p)) and then quit to study for some exams for work. Needless to say I got back into modding our Breakthrough server and played very little of TF2 until I stopped all together. I'm usually not a big fan of CoD (played the first on dialup), played some UO (TANKS!), played very little of 2 (small maps! what?), someone gave me 4 (hose-fest galore, not for me), and then I tried the beta for WaW (neat!).

So I have been played WaW and enjoying myself, for now. I hate all this non-authentic add on garbage and perks (thank gawd for bolt only servers!). I bet in another 6 months I will be back to playing Breakthrough. I just don't think games are made to stand the long haul anymore. The games are way more complicated and therefore harder to mod. So people get bored quickly and move on tho the next "big thing". Also, with all this ranking nonsense in games these days it almost makes modding a mute point all together.

Besides, can we really get behind a game when they plan on churning one out every year when the previous one still has issues? I can't believe Trey didn't learn anything from CoD4 and have missed some of the very basics needed to have a blockbuster game. I'm still impressed that so many people want to play a WW2 shooter. :) So the genre is not "dead and buried" like so many critics claim.

First of all... cod4... ah HELLO those are codwaw maps...get real.

Any map that is as glitchey as these would be removed by any conscientious admin. Unfortunately, there is no redirect so this can't be done, because of the looks of it...all the freak'n maps that Treyarch made are like this and we at this time wouldn't have any maps to play.... good going Treyarch!

You guys are surely making cod2 look better and better.
