I have a clanner in Toronto, he can connect to any other CoD WaW server but all of a sudden not to ours, located in Dallas. Its Xmas eve, and there's no support around. The game will let him get to the "waiting for players" message but thats it. It then either freezes up his comp, or he just sits.
Matter of fact, he can go to another server and play for minutes and he's still showing in our server as connecting.
I've stopped and started the server, he's rebooted several times ... I know there are problems like this in the game .... but this persistent ? guess we need to give it a bit more time.
I dont know if it was on my end, but my console during this time was spamming "Connecting to demonware..." while a Calif clanner was getting the spam about punkbuster.dll ... I lost all my server's in internet, favorites .. I got out of the game and came back and after stopping/starting the server, console spam was gone.
But the first clanner still cannot get connected to our server. We checked his connection, firewall, router - none, anti-virus ... all were good. weird.
Anyone else have this happen ?
oops, never mind, it took a coupla hours and he's on the server. PAtch PaTCH !!!
