I need some help all. I don't know what this is but I'm hoping some one here will.

I know this is the section for server questions but I tend to get answers here long before I get answers in the other section. I did post it there too.

I get this error almost every time I shut the game down and it causes me to not be able to completely shut the game down. It first tells me that its going to send an error report and says send or don't send and so I looked at what was on the error report and this is what it had.

When I tell it to not send and clear that it then completely crashes to this window.

If I click on the ok button here it should be able to be shut down by at least clicking the X in the window but it will not shut down. The only thing I'm able to do is minimize it to the task bar and the only way to make it stop is to reboot the computer.

This the the engine running behind the other window and the info in it.

If I need to update a .dll file or something let me know. Its a real pain in the butt to have to keep rebooting the computer every time I play.

Thanks in advance,
Tiki

Oh and sorry for the monster pictures. I forgot to edit them down before I uploaded them to the web.

This is a known and unfortunely common problem on CoD:WW. Its on the list of hoped for fixes for the 1.2 patch. I'm not aware of any fix for this - I believe we just have to wait for the patch.

Thanks for the quick response WooWoo. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

By any chance, did you take any of the video files out? I had numerous and constant crashes after I had removed the "Treyarc" video file. After I put it back in, I haven't had a crash yet (crosses fingers).

If we are talking about a remote dedicated server, then there is no need for the video folder or any of it's contents.

BTW if indeed the nvappfilter.dll is crashing, then that is part of Nvidia's hardware firewall, which can be enabled when installing the drivers for an Nvidia chipset based motherboard. I use an NF4 based motherboard, and was warned in advance NOT to install the Nvidia hardware firewall that comes with it. Yes to installing the Nvidia Ethernet drivers, but no to the drivers for the firewall (ActiveArmor Firewall)

Sorry I haven't replied to this in a while. I kind of forgot I had posted it out here after WooWoo said what he did.

To Bonez, No, I didn't remove any videos. I don't mind that they come up. I just hit the escape key and zip past them.

To JumpJet, I do have an NF4 board but didn't install the Nvidia firewall. I was told the same thing you were told. I have no Idea if this is the problem because every time I close the game down I get a different message. Its always a .dll file but its always a different one. I've learned to deal with this issue though. I have found that I don't have to reboot the system like I used to do. When the game crashes, I do the old Alt, Ctrl, Delete combo and it brings up the window where the running processes are displayed. I find the one for COD5 and hit the end process button. Shuts the game down completely and it doesn't give me an error message on start up of the game.

So till there is a patch that addresses this issue, I've found my work around. Thanks for all your imputs. :hand:
