Bunnyjumping

heard some rumers about that this is possible in CoD. I realy hope
this is only a false rumer. Dont matter how nice the game is, if this is possible the game will be :x( .......

Yes bunny jumping is possible. I have seen it quite a few times already.

i think this is the only drawback i see this far, and it's oly enough to make you laugh... aside that this game rocks the socks off any mohaa thus far

I have witnessed *alot* of bunnyhopping and quite frankly, I am left open mouthed that it's possible. Surely this was play tested to death before release, and bunnyhopping was left IN?! Really detracts from the game imo. People jumping all over a map, hardly realistic. Of couse, reason why people are Jumping is because it gets you around the map faster than walking, and, when you're trying to shoot someone, they just bounce around like a lunatic.

I'm glad I'm not the only one noticing all the wabbits! Something needs to be done to discourage this, e.g. add a small (exponetial?) delay between each jump. Maybe do some damage after two or more in a row, you know sprained ankle type. Even better, give nice big flowing ears and a fluffy tail ... at least that'll make it interesting.

BTW, I also think that fall damage should be increased a bit. Some of the "falls" I've had would have killed most people, but barely get a 5-10% damage in CoD. I've seend two cvars:

C bg_fallDamageMaxHeight "480"
C bg_fallDamageMinHeight "256"

but can't figure out how they work. They're not used in any of the game scripts. :x

Just FYI, have posted a thead on the IW Nation site in the section IW reads, regarding the bunnyhopping. Hopefully, IW will respond as something has to be done, otherwise the game has a serious flaw imho.

I attended a chat with the developers answering questions about updates fixes etc... this was one of the topics that got a definite answer they said they are including a fix (didnt specify the fix) for bunnyhopping... email me if you would like a transcript of the chat ... cwbyfan22@cox.net

unfortunatly that c in frount of the comand it mean cheat protection if im corect and there for requireing sv_cheats set to 1 wich will open up alot more problems than bunny hopping
