I have 2 buds, each with their own copy of cod:waw, that cannot seem to join my co op server. when one joins, the other can't and sometimes they will both get kicked. is there anyway to fix this?

there are allot of problems with the co-op right now, people that cannot join other peoples servers without reason and stuf, so your probs one of the people that have that problem. have you try'd with one of them hosting yet?

I had the same issue with me and my girlfriend. Just have one of them set their port different from stock and they will be able to join.
Or just have one of them host the game and they can connect fine that way.

add
+set net_port 28963
to the target area of the shortcut you use to start the game. (only on 1 of the p.c's)
a lot of my players share the same i.p when connecting to my server
some of them have to add this command.
Ok well this is good news. I have a group of friends that like to play this game in zombie mod. 2 are at one house behind a router and me and other are at our own house. And when the two that are behind the same router 1 connects find and then when the 2nd tries it turns around and kicks them both.
So if this fix works where does this info needed to be added? It looks like you are saying the short cut on the desktop. And this confuses me.
Any help would be great.

The issue comes from multiple games trying to connect to a single external server. The home router sometimes gets a little confused and the server can't distinguish between the different computers.
From the external servers point of view these computers are all coming from the same IP and ports. So by telling the games to use different ports the external server can see that there are several computers connecting to it from a singe IP.
The desktop short cut is easy to edit, most games allow you to use special commands when you start them. These are some times call "Switches" you can add parameters that change settings within the program as it starts. In this case telling the game to use a particular port rather than the default one.
This way the different games running on the different computers in the house will be using the same IP but different posts. This is enough for the games server to see what is going on.

Correct. You cannot connect 2 WAW games from the same IP, the Demonware netcode use your Public IP and wont allow 2 connections :(
