How come all we hear is how piracy is killing the PC industry? Yet the only ones getting busted and charged with a crime, is the console pirates.
On November 21 at Wolverhampton Crown Court Adams was jailed for three years, and his busty girlfriend handed a 12-month sentence, suspended for 18 months. He was operating a games stall at a local flea market called 'Midland Console Modifications', at Wolverhampton racecourse.
Lets not forget Activision suing several different people for selling Call of Duty 3, which is console only. I personally would love to see "fill in dev/pub here" go ofter these so called PC pirates. I'm thinking Console pirates sell their warez while the PC pirate is only in it for him or her self. Makes you wonder which platform hurts the gaming industry more?

It would be interesting to see the figures for piracy for each platform. But I suspect that will be kept from us while they still peddle the "blame pc piracy for games not being developed for the PC" statement.

I reckon that console piracy will be larger than that of the PC piracy. Its just that its not highlighted.

Pics of gtfo :D

No I think you are right Rude about PC pirates not really making money. I dunno, but after a mod its pretty easy to go rent a console game and never have to pay for one again.

I think the bottom line for consoles getting most of the attention from developers is money. Its pretty simple, and even bad titles will sell.

How many kids get games as gifts still. I know when I was young I did. PC gamers expect more than console players do as well. I am not speaking of HC gamers, but the casual gamer.

He was selling them in the open from a stall at a car boot sale for gads sake. How the heck can you expect to such an illegal thing and still think that you are going to get away with it???

The vast majority of software piracy happens in less public places.

I still think that the answer is to make a large part of any game online. Also to give the paying customer more than just the media needed to play the game. Posters, books, key rings and stuff.

Leave the pirates with a half crippled game that's not worth the trouble...

Half the flea markets along the east coast of the US will have at least one or two of these guys selling their stuff including DVDs

Just go to the original link, then go to the links to Page 3. Page 3 of the printed version of The Sun is famous for its topless beauties. The on line version has is expanded. ;) It was fun to see that The Sun is still using the same model for getting ads viewed. :D
