firedaemon issues [Archive]

Server seems to work when I fire up the exe.
Server doesn't show up when I fire it up with firedaemon.

I use FD with no issues.

here's what you do:

1. Open FireDeamon
2. Click the "Create a new service..." icon
3. For the short name, put something like: CoDwaw
4. Same for "Display Name"
5. For the "Executable" find your CoDwasmp.exe file located in whatever folder you have the game installed. It will also fill in the "Working Directory" after you select the .exe
6. For the Parameters, put in something like:

+set dedicated 2 +set net_ip YOURIP +set net_port 28960 +set ui_maxclients 64 +set sv_maxclients 64 sv_punkbuster 1 +exec server.cfg +set fs_homepath "server1" +map_rotate

7. Click "Install"

now it should open up the cod server.

I had no problems running the beta.

No sir,

That parameter is working with the exe but not with FireDeamon.
I installed the game on my home pc like I did with all the cod games, then copied the folder and pasted it to the server.
Does it still work that way?
We are on TS trying to fix it.

It's probably because you're missing the dx files. Same thing happened to me.

hmmm...does it start up but you can't see it or does it not start at all?

If that's the case then it would probably be the interact with desktop box isn't checked in Firedameon.

On my box I had to put the dx files in the game folder and not in the system 32.

Other then that all I can think of is that you have the basic firedameon setup incorrect.

Dude i had that problem...
Just edit ur firedaemon service, switch to settings tab and fill in username, password and confirm with ur admin account or any other account with needed privileges...
