Help with disabling after death spectating in DM

Hello, pals!

Need your advice. As many others I need to switch off after death spectating in Death Match (hardcore mode). I used to try "set scr_game_spectatetype "0" , then "1" and "2" but it appears to bring no result. Any ideas?
