Hello gamers. I've been looking all over for news on how CoD:WW will handle custom maps (and maybe even mods). Our CoD4 server was initially successful but, like many others, never survived the transition to custom maps due to everyone having to re-level. Will this be the case again in CoD:WW? Will we be able to add custom maps to our rotations without having to re-level?
Thanks in advance!

Well with mods now for cod 4 you instantly power level to 55 like Open Warfare and AWE and Ace mod I think too.
Dont expect any custom maps for aleast 2 months and maybe another month after that before the maps become quality maps that dont have errors..After that it just a matter of the expert modders we have in our community to make the mods and add all the features though it is a long process just like the wait for COD 4 was.
Just remember it wont happen overnight but it will happen

Thanks for the info Preacher man. The modding and mapping community has been awesome for CoD going all the way to back to the original (as do I). I'm really impressed with the stock maps that shipped with CoD:WW. They should hold us over for a while.

Oh wow! I guess with WW running the CoD4 engine means things like custom maps might come sooner than a game developed with a new engine. I just hope we can add custom maps to the stock game without having to run a mod . . . a la CoD2 . . . and without causing everyone to re-level.
I'm looking into setting up the b3 bot as I really like the CoD4 servers I played on that had that running. What are your thoughts on it from an admin perspective? Would you run something else to handle those same functions as language control, kicking TKs, etc.?

I also would like custom map to be playable and rankable as well.
I have played on the www.83division.com COD4 servers and they use Big Brother Bot. I like it myself and I have looked into using it as well. Need to have some skill using Python and MySQL though.

Only problem with B3 is that if your server provider doesn't support it, having a dedicated server is the only way to be able to use it.
They really need to make it remote. But from the looks of it, it's not coming any time soon. They've been working on the update for a long time now.

We got our server going today. Our group prefers to play with TKs on. But, I don't know what all those settings do. Can someone explain these better?
// TKers
set scr_teamKillPunishCount "2"
set scr_team_artilleryTeamKillPenalty "0.25"
set scr_team_kickteamkillers "0"
set scr_team_teamkillerplaylistbanpenalty "0"
set scr_team_teamkillerplaylistbanquantum "0"
set scr_team_teamkillpointloss "1"
set scr_team_teamkillspawndelay "20"

Mods and custom maps should come much sooner for this title because it's running on the cod4 engine. I've already seen working mods. It's really just a matter of Treyarch releasing the mod tools.
