Map Name versus File Name

Hi:

I'm having trouble figuring out what the map name is compared to the maps file name. I tried opening up the pk3 file but I get nothing but garbled text. Is there a list or an easy way to find out map names so I can add them to a rotation?

ok this is a bit tricky if you dont know what your doing but if you want to open up a pk3 do this

open windows explorer its like start all programs assesories win explorer


at the top click tools folder options

then click the file types tab

click new type pk3 in the open box then click advanced

scoll down till you find compresed/zipped and hit accept or ok or what ever and then it will be like blah blah you sure you want to do this hit ok now go and all you have to do is duble click on the pk3 to open it the reaon you just getting jibba jabba when you open it is because it compresed by setting it up like this it allows you to see the compreased folders

dont worry about it messing any thing up i have had mine set like this for a long time and have never found a problem or conflict by doing this hope this helps
