Windows Server WHAT THE FRIK

I got a windows server i am getting this error

my command line looks like this

C:\cod5\CoDWaWmp.exe +set dedicated 2 +set net_port 28960 +exec server.cfg +map_rotate

and my cfg is in the main folder.

any one have any ideas.

after it does this it makes a file here

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Activision\CoDWaW

inside is a hidden file named

__CoDWaWmp

its 1kb

when i open it with a txt editor its box's

Everyone who has the files is having exactly the same problem at the mo.

Its because the CODWaWmp.exe is running a startup routine calling for the whole game to fire up before it then quickly closes down to console mode.

None the less that brief start up routine is calling up all the grfx shaders and as all Admins know Dedicated boxes dont come with top line gfrx cards just the basics after all its a damn server not Home PC.

This is really dumb by Treyarch but lets hope they get a fixed executable for release day readyto go.

Hmmmmm Gamestop will be delivering pre-ordered goodies late today... and some folks have already gotten their copies via Snail mail, FedEx, UPS.

Somehow, I feel we'll be bouncing off the walls before we get a fixed .exe....

Wouldn't it just, good luck with that though. the plebs like us will wait a day or two for an "official" patch before we have servers up is my guess. :rolleyes:
