I've been running CoD servers for a few years now and have a pretty good understanding of server configs and command lines. CoD5 beta does't seem to be reading my server cfg. I have the cfg setup to run DM but it starts up TDM. Team deathmatch is not even listed anywhere in the server cfg. Server name is not colored. Cfg name is "server.cfg" My command line:

"C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty - World at War Beta\CoDWaWbeta.exe" +set dedicated 2 +set net_port 28960 +exec server.cfg +map_rotate

I am using "worm's" posted cfg
Any help would be appreciated.

Check your spelling.
double check everything
definitely wrong set up on your end.

No problem, perhaps you could share your dedicated server command line. I seem to be stuck with either an error or a prompt to install the Dvd when trying to launch. After patching we are not suppose to need a key for a dedicated, yet when I launch a dedicated via multiplayer I get the "key code already being used error" on another PC when trying to join.

okay now that I have the list all set w/ gametypes, we do not rotate after some maps, I had the GSP add + map rotate in the command line

Generally, failure to rotate to the next map is caused by a spelling/typographical error. I'd remove the caps in the map names.

Than k you and good suggestion on spelling, I did as I always do check this more than I probably need to... it appears we had some wrong map names... generally the caps are not an issue
