A friend of mine has been playing cod4 on his computer with the following specs:
athlon 64 3.8mhz. dual core cpu
939 motherboard with AGP slot
Radeon 9800pro w/128mb ram (which doesn't play codwaw, he just gets sound with a black screen).
2 gig ram (800mhz)

Would a video card like the Geforce 6600gt or better with atleast 256mb ram (it would have to be agp video card since his motherboard only has an agp slot) allow him to play codwaw on his machine? Just wondering if any card that is agp be worth the investment to play codwaw, or would it just be barely able to run it and not really worth it. Unfortunately, he doens't have much money to play with on this.

Yeah i run an agp system, and using a ati radeon Sapphire 1950 pro 512 mb runs codwaw ok, it runs cod4 at over 100fps on med/low settings. The price for these was quite low got mine for £60 off ebay.

Well tbh i cannt tell you the fps on cod:waw as the show fps command dont work, also having a look on ebay there going between £30 - £60
I did have a Nvidia XFX gs7900 before that but it overheated. But i dont think it was as good as this 1950 i now have.
