Where and how Rcon?

Hey guy's hello,

Well i downloaded some programs for changing my dedicated server. but all program's are asking for a RCon code...


i never heard of a Rcon code... where can i set the Rcon code?... i searched in the game but coudnt find anything aboud Rcon..

Can someone tell me how and where i can set my RCon pass?

your rcon pass is set in your main .cfg file. for most people this is called dedicated_mp.cfg or autoexec_mp.cfg

the line of code is:

// Passwords
set g_password "" // sets your server password
set sv_privatePassword "" // sets your reserved slot password
set rconPassword "" // sets your rcon password

you'll have to ftp/ssh into your server and see what your pass is set at ;)

Well i still didnt find the right thing because i cant find dedicated_mp.cfg or autoexec_mp.cfg.

I have 1 .cfg file but thats not the good one....

ill reinstall CoD tommorow and hope that the cfg will be there!...

Are you trying to find RCON a server hosted by someone else or a server you're hosting?

If it's hosted by another company, you need to FTP to your server and look for the .cfg file. Check the Guides section to see what a server cfg should look like.

If you're starting the server yourself (i.e. you're running the server on your system), then you need to create a server cfg file and add +exec <server cfg name.cfg> to the command line.

Please clarify exactly which of the above applies so we can better help you.

Well i want to set my own server for on the lanparty....

well i found the config.cfg file... please tell me what to do!..

(Some one dutch over here?, my englisch is not so good you know :D )
