View Full Version : Server Problem with dedicated Windows Server

Hello, i am a Server admin noob from Germany and I have some Problems. I hope someone could help me.
I have a home LAN with 2 PC’s and a Linux Router to share my Internet Connection to the 2 PC’s.
At The first PC I have Installed CoD to Play. At the second PC I have made an dedicated server.
This server was not listet in the Internet only in the LAN list. What could I do to list it in the internet.

My Linux Router have the IP 212.202.7.xxx
My Gaming PC have the IP 192.168.0.xxx
My Dedicated Server has the IP 192.168.0.yyy

At the Linux Router I have portforwarding for the following ports:
28960
27500
27510

In my dedicated.cfg I have the line
set sv_master1 "codmaster.activision.com"

First of all, I am a noob too, so if I give you information that doesnt work for you, don't flame me! :oops:

It looks like two of your port numbers are wrong: change 27500 to 20500; change 27510 to 20510

then add this to your .cfg file directly beneath your line that says:

set sv_master1 "codmaster.activision.com"


seta sv_master2 "codauthorize.activision.com"
seta sv_master3 "master0.gamespy.com"
seta sv_master4 "master1.gamespy.com"
seta sv_master5 "clanservers.net"
seta sv_gamespy "1"


This should allow your game to be visible on the internet. Please bear in mind that occasionally, a server ping that is very low (such when you are searching for your own home network server on All Seeing Eye or Gamespy) may not show up on YOUR list, but it will on other people's lists. Not sure why that is but I read a thread on it a while ago, sorry I can't give you the link.

Also of note:

Just in case you don't have it set, I believe set dedicated 1 (or whatever the cmd is).

AND keep in mind the default IG browser filters. If you have pure set to 0, make sure that you check your filter as it defaults to only see pure servers.
