Evidence for Beta release on Monday the 27th:

One of the admins (CM_Schleppy) on callofduty.com posted a code to break that supposedly had more info on the beta. This is what he posted:

Here is my cryptic way of telling you...
9 30 20 39 59 50 79 73 88 95 104 131 132 135 144 150 166 185 198 190 218 215 232 235 241 269 265 270 300 305 313 325 338 348 355 373

This actually could be decoded to give you a better idea, but I will not be posting the algorithm used to generate this coded message.

So the crowd at callofduty.com com got busy working on it. The admin did say it was a rather easy decryption algorythm. And indeed, it appears someone figured it out.

i - 10(n-1)

i = the number given
n = the position in the line of numbers

So the first number is:
9 - 10(1-1) which equals: 9

The second number is:
30 - 10(2-1) which equals: 20

Continue that all the way through and you end up with a new string of numbers that looks like this:

9 20 0 9 19 0 19 3 8 5 4 21 12 5 4 0 6 15 18 0 18 5 12 5 1 19 5 0 20 15 13 15 18 18 15 23

Assuming each of the numbers corresponds to the letter in its alphabetic position (a=1, b=2, c=3, etc.) and the number 0 = a space, then what you end up with is this:

"it is scheduled for release tomorrow"

That is too much of a coincidence to be anything other than the correct answer.

But to further the intrigue, ALL evidence of this post on callofduty.com have been removed. And any posts referencing the answer being found has been deleted as well.

Whether it is being removed because the answer was found (and that information was not supposed to be released to the public), or if it was being removed because Treyarch themselves honestly don't know if that answer is true is obviously not clear.

But this certainly gives some hope for tomorrow...

Anyone able to get onto callofduty.com today? I keep getting a time out error when I go to the site.

I was on the site at 5:00am Central time and all the code posts were still there. Can't reach it now though.

Edit: I just tried and site is back up.

However, I did notice the post about the code and today's possible release. The post was by CoDNerd. Isn't that JD? I thought I saw something from the good folks at Raidersmerciless they had a falling out with CoDNerd who was actually JD? I could be wrong, of course. Could someone set me strait? Thanks.

Here's the post:

Admin Schleppy of Callofduty.com made a Cipher for the Release date of the CoD:WW beta, thinking that no one can crack it. CustomCoD.com's own SparksMcSparks proved him wrong by taking the challenge. Minutes later, the news broke out. The CoD:WW PC Beta is Rumored to be released Monday, October 27th.

The Cipher that Admin Schleppy posted is:

9 30 20 39 59 50 79 73 88 95 104 131 132 135 144 150 166 185 198 190 218 215 232 235 241 269 265 270 300 305 313 325 338 348 355 373

Solution: Subtract 10x the position minus 1. A = 1, " " = 0.

Answer: "It is scheduled for release tomorrow."

Thank you "UnOfficial" for releasing this info.

Again, this is a RUMOR, and may not be true.

Visit CustomCoD.com for more info.

All I know is codnerd is supposedly a controversial figure. Something to do with creating hacked servers that allow pirated versions of CoD4 to be played online. He is listed as an admin over at codhq.com, the site where JD came from.

Sounds scandalous enough. Can't wait for the movie...

codnerd is not jd.

codnerd does know jd.

codnerd is a "community moderator" on callofduty.com

I'm with worm, this should make for an interesting movie.

I notice a lot of posts at callofduty.com are being deleted faster than I can read them. It seems they have a dedicated group of these community website managers pruning the posts for whatever criteria.

Good or bad depending on how you look at it but I would have to say imo the PC beta info has been a disaster PR wise. Seems peeps are more ticked off about it instead of being excited about it. Throw in the pruning moderators and after awhile many of the posts have gone negative.

Just my third person view of this beta/demo thing.

Eidt: One other thing. This site now has about 1 adult forum poster for every 100 teenage (or younger) forum posters.

I am downloading the beta from Fileplanet right now

Completed download, now I am just waiting for the beta key. Fileplanet's download manager says the estimated date to be Oct 28th, so I am assuming it will be sometime today!
