Server Admin

I have a Call of Duty server and am having problems getting it setup. I have the ability to RCON into it and FTP into it. I know how to use FTP and how to transfer the files to my computer and edit them. I just don't know what to look for as far as the files are concerned.

Also I read the manual to CoD and I see no option on how to RCON into the server. Can someone help me there too.

Basically if anyone out there knows how to apply mods, update the server, and the above mentioned things please reply to this or maybe email me please.

rcon is for admin'ing a server that is running. you're problem from what I gather is that you're trying to get it running but can't.

you cannot start the server from ftp or rcon. you will need ssh with a linux box, and a start script that you can execute.

for windows I have no idea, Ive never used a windows server but I'm sure somone here would know what you need to get to get the game to execute ;)

My server is hosted by OSG. I just need to figure out how to do the settings for our matches and such.

Did they offer you something to remotely restart or reboot your game?

No, I can log into my account and stop and restart the server. I have gotten alot of help since posting this. I know where my config is and what I should do to it. Thank You all for responding.
