Hey, im runing a dedicated v1.2 linux server. After it completes a map it re-sets the allow'd players to 1 player.. Any ideas??
The config file is set for 20 w/ 4 private..
and also the rcon password doesnt work. says no rcon password set.
the cfg file is a direct copy of my win. server which i have no problems with..
Can anyone help me?

I can think of two possibilities right off the top.
What is the file ownership/permisions on your cfg file? The important part is that it is world readable. (Or, if your paranoid, atleast readable by the user invoking the server.)
Did you make absolutely certain that you uploaded the .cfg file in ASCII and not binary?

Well concidering the fact my linux box is in my room and im using "samba" for networking i setup a share in samba. so yes its in ASCII format.. and im not sure about the permissions but it doesnt have a problem reading it when it boots.. and dosnt haven a problem WRITING the log files..
Its just after the map ends. it wont ROTATE the maps says the line is blank like sv_maprotate is "" but in the .cfg file its not.. and like i said its a direct copy of my "WINBLOWS" except the name of the server
And i noticed that the server made a directory in my root
./callofduty/main
in there is generated a .cfg file somehow?? and what it does is write seta sv_maxclients="1" but the cfg file i have in the cod dir doesnt have that it says 20 w/ 4 private slots
or did i do this all wrong and the .CFG is suppost to be in the root ./callofduty/main
Thankx
