Question.. About Server Rcon

I have got a server thati have bought and the rcon worked just fine then its not working i put in rcon **** say test and it does nothing it doesnt say bad rconpassword it just does nothing and says nothing

Try rcon status. It will probably do the same thing. I am assuming your server has at one point in time had 18 players. It appears that around th 17 or 18 player mark (actually on the server, not just slots available), there is an rcon bug that can kick in and effectively stops all rcon functionality. The only solution is a reboot. That's right, restarting the game server usually will not do the job. The box has to reboot. That one is very bizarre to my mind but that is the way it goes. Perhaps another process is spawned for the rcon and this process does not shut down when the server restarts once it gets into this state. If you can log onto the box and figure out what process it is, you could probably avoid a reboot, but it would be easier to just boot the box.
