How do you setup a map rotation?

Are you hosting the server yourself or are you using a dedicated host?

In either case, "sv_maprotation" is the setting for you to include your maps and gametypes to be played for each map, then simply issue your starting map by using the "map" command, then map name.

EG:

set sv_mapRotation "gametype sd map mp_dawnville gametype re map mp_depot gametype sd map mp_brecourt gametype re map mp_harbor gametype sd map mp_rocket gametype re map mp_chateau gametype sd map mp_powcamp gametype re map mp_carentan gametype sd map mp_hurtgen gametype re map mp_railyard gametype sd map mp_pavlov gametype re map mp_dawnville gametype sd map mp_depot gametype re map mp_brecourt gametype sd map mp_harbor gametype re map mp_rocket gametype sd map mp_railyard gametype re map mp_chateau gametype sd map mp_carentan gametype re map mp_powcamp gametype re map mp_pavlov"

I'm wondering how I add a custom map to my rotation on a pure server. (this is on a dedicated host) I uploaded the tigerland.pk3 file to my Main directory. Now what do I have to do? From what I've read I need to somehow enable downloading on the server. After doing that, do I just add 'map tigerland' to my rotation?

If the map does not have a readme that tells you its calling name, then simply install the map in your Call of Duty/Main folder and do this:

1) Start up CoD Multiplayer
2) Click on Start New Server
3) Select a gametype that your map supports
4) Look in the map list window on your left, it will show you the code name for the map (i.e. mp_mycustommap).

Once you have the code name, just add it and whatever gametype you want to your rotation, just like you have for the stock maps.
