sorry to sound like a noob, but were the hell is console at?
i hit the ` in game online and it just types out what i am doing to the screen....thanks for any info..

put a slash / before the command. here is are examples:

/cmdlist

/kickall

In-game you have to preceed command with the \ character. The console also has tab-completion so if you type something like "cg_draw" and then hit tab, it'll display all the commands which begin with cd_draw. I mention this here because if you begin typing a command and hit the tab, it'll add the \ character for you. It'll also switch a / to \ if you forget which one it is. :!:

Yeah, tell me about it. I'm still waiting for the time when I accidentally give out my rcon password in chat.

I already did that, but fortunately during self-tests with my laptop! :P

And then proceeded directly to creating a CFG file to exec it automatically.

Did the same thing but the server had just loaded up and no one was in yet so I quickly started spamming until it was off the screen :)
