hay gusy my test server keeps crashing with the folloing
if anyone could help please let me know
currently running 2 mods 1st hlrcon latest version
2nd pools relisim mod 3.5 is this due to one of the mods or one of my settings

You cfg is too large. Break it up. Put your gametypes into a separate config and exec it from the server cfg. Likewise with other stuff. You should only have your basic information in the server cfg (hostname, password, MOTD, etc). The others can go in their own cfgs.

Click my servers been doing the same thing also, I see your point about the server.cfg being to long, but the crash for me doesnt happen upon startup of server. It seems to happen every so often possiable after map change, would too long of a .cfg be to blame for that also?

well it can happen anytime..not just at startup as you mentioned..yeah keeping your motd short and your overall server.cfg minimal does the trick for me, If you are running any extra mods that require you to input some new variables into your server config I suggest just creating a new cfg file name it whatever like newmods.cfg for example and just place them in there instead- then on your main server config file just add the line
exec newmods.cfg at the bottom before your map rotation. (make sure to upload the new config file to your main directory).

I am experiencing the same thing on my server,but only when a particular clan member is on. It has been happening to this guy for 2 weeks now,and he is pulling his hair out trying to figure out why?
He can only play for about 5mins.or so before we get the server command overflow message ,and it kicks him out,or if the map changes it kicks him out,sometimes his computer crashes as well.

My configs are all in separate files, so i don't think that's the whole problem,cause it doesn't happen with any of the other players on the server.
We are running the Merciless mod on this server,and i think it may have something to do with that.

What does the "Server Command Overflow" message mean?

Certain information sent from the server to the client must get processed by the client. Once a maximum amount of info is buffered on the server without the client processing it, the client gets disconnected.

As for autoexec_mp.cfg.... Size means nothing here, the game compiles the config_mp.cfg file from this or, so I am lead to believe.

As such, my thoughts are that (a) syntax is critical - (b) the format used in an autoexec_mp.cfg file must be rigorously adhered to. Else errors will, inadvertantly, be introduced into the config_mp.cfg file. Or, it simply will not run or randomly crash.

I'm no "ace" at this but have spent some serious time learning the file construction processes. Later this weekend, I'll post a few samples here for all to have a "look-see".
