Thought I would toss this out here since we are at rope's-end on solutions.
We have a couple of 2142 servers still active. From time to time we get people who are blatantly hacking (when they use a multihack with the name changer, it's easily to tell in game that someone is running the hack without looking at SS by sending them a whisper). However, they all seem to be using key-gens along with the multihack, so banning by both name and CD hash does nothing permanent. (IP bans seem ineffective as well.)
We have resorted to mass TKing them; making the server extremely unwelcome seems the only viable route. Is there a better way? Is the PB GUID attached to the CD hash or hardware?
