COD4 Linux server 32 or 64bit?

I've heard that you can only run COD4 server on a 32bit Linux system. Is this correct or does it also works on a 64bit system?

I use OpenSuse 10.3 64bit works good!
COD2 can be troublesum to get working, but with some extra files it works great too.
COD4 worked right away.
