http://www.fpsadmin.com/gallery/main.php/d/3938-2/zalman.JPGWhile checking out one of my personal favorite heat sink and cooling makers, Zalman. I noticed along the back wall a new input device, Zalman called "FPSgun".
I only had a chance to handle the FPSgun and not actual use it as all the machines where taken when people not willing to give them up for others to try.
At first glance, it looks weird and to say the lest it didn't look too comfortable, to say the least I was mistaken. This mouse was very comfortable but then again I did not have a chance to play around in game with one. My current experience with a new gaming mouse from MS has taught me that you can experience some fatigue over time. I don't know if this mouse would cause any fatigue and it's a unique design that needs further investigation.
If anyone picks this up, please drop us a line to let us know how it works for you. I will be requesting a test sample and will report back if I can acquire one in the future.
Some specs:- Resolution: 2000DPI
- Image processing: 6400FPS
- Max speed: 40 inches per second
- Mac acceleration: 15G
- Data Channel: 16 Bit
- Polling rate: 1000Hz 1ms response
- Feet: Teflon
- button life: 8 Million clicks
While not listed on their web site (not even via their search), I've scanned the product slick I picked up at the show.
