Hello, i wanted to run oldschool mod on my server, but its don`t want work. Iam switching the "0" to a "1" in /main/gametypes.cfg but it wont change on the server, is it something els i shall do?

I tried that once before, and it didn't work.
I wonder if you have to switch on Oldschool AND Hardcore to get it to work? I haven't tried that because I don't want Oldschool anymore

I got it to work but I'm not sure I like it.
The problem is the cvar in the stock gametypes.cfg file is wrong.
Mine had:
set scr_oldschool_mw 1
The real cvar is:
set scr_oldschool 1
This works independently of scr_hardcore.
From what I've seen it's like playing Quake or UT and therefore best suited to TDM or FFA. The weaps/perks spawn/respawn at specific locations (big gold circles) and you have to "use" them to pick them up. If you already have that weap, you grab a reload. This turns the circle red and it takes a few seconds to respawn.

Yep. Oldschool is silly. If I want to play Quake or UT, i'll load Quake or UT. I'm so tired of every game, whatever it's strategic or realistic potential, being turned into an insipid r&g boomfest.
