So which is best the M16 or AK47?

In short the Ak47 can't hit a barndoor at 200 yards but has more power (and bullet penertration), and is a machine gun more than a rifle. At range the M16 is best; close up the AK is. Odd then that in game the AK is not a bad rifle and many can out snipe a sniper with it.:confused:
