Ok here goes the idea:

Project: Global Ban List
Idea: After seen alot of ban lists on the internet: PsB, PBbans, GV, GGC ect. i thought.. why having 50 bans lists doing exaclty the same thing?

Yes i know they all have different ways of prosecuting cheaters but at the end.. they all ban cheats. And having 50
streaming on your server doesnt realy seem "great". So the idea is to stream all banlists to a HUB and from there make 1 ban list with ALL banslists bundled into one file. Also this would need to be a universal file/config so it doesnt need diffrent settings on diffrent games, as PB works the same anyway!

We are searching for some scripters that are able to put a system together that uploads all "ban/lists" on the internet from diffrent kind of games into one major banlist. And from there apply it to the online gaming servers.

problem is, the streamers have different goes at how they manage the bans, like psb only accepts cheat logs and screenshots which were voted on by a number of admins. gv however has these temp bans, and they accept demos as well. clanbase picked gv over psb/pbbans because they got control over the bans

Also the only way to get these cheaters banned is to stream your server to PsB and PBBans, so how do you plan on going around that, If I quit streaming to all these guys and just stream to yours, then how will I submit a cheater to them if I wasn't streaming to them?

We simply dont stream :D we are a HUB linking everything together so that the servers only need "one" code for ALL ban lists!
Meaning we just provide the streaming lists/banlist.

We DONT manage the bans, we just link them to gether, also we dont BAN as our partners would do this (as i am not here to steal there clients) but just find a solution to bundle everything together!

So your streaming is only good for not allowing banned people on the server, for me to bust the cheater I would have to stream to them, and if they are keeping the cheaters of my server's by streaming to them then why stream to you? Not trying to be diffcult just trying to figure out what your offering here.

Basically you'd only be streaming to one server with all the bans on it for all games instead of multiple servers for each game.

In answer to your other questions:
Right now we're partnered with PSB but would try to have the banlist for pbbans too. As for client 1 going to client 6 I think BlackHawk was just trying to show the filtering down effect but I'll let him answer that completely. :)

So if i had a cheater on my server wouldn't I have to be streaming to PsB or PBBans to have them reported and banned?

I am just a little confused here, it seems like the service your offering is good for the clans that have servers and don't want these cheaters on there servers, but yet they don't want or don't care about reporting them, and if they did they would have to stream to them which means your service is some what not needed?

Well as this system isnt "that far yet" i cant answer all questions ATM as at some points it still needs to be worked out. But this system would linkup all systems to ONE global ban list, and is just ment to be a HUB for all banlist and indeed, We "Admin Request" dont ban. Users would still remain streaming and able to upload PBSSs as far as i can workout but this kind of details would still need to be find out!

And thats why we need people that know how these kind of things work.
As i know some details, but not all of them my self.

Ok so it just seems to be that if I like streaming to PsB and PBBans so I can catch cheaters and turn them in, then your service is probably not for me, but if I run a server and don't feel like checking screen shots and catching them, and just like playing the game, but would like to keep them off my server, then your service would probably be useful. Also I beleive alot of these smaller clans probably have a hard time figuring out how to stream so they just say forget it, so you might wanna make sure it is easy to setup and use your service and just maybe all these clans that don't like going through the effort of getting their server streaming just might use your service.

I understand what your trying to do here, we use to have merged Banlists from pbbans, punksbusted for the TSA's on CP

@Diva: I guess you get the idea already, what where your findings while using this system as i think that it would be alot easyer then alot of diffrent systems put together in a config loading from the server everytime.

@MoToR: The fact that you arnt able to turn in screenshots i cant confirm as i am sure there is a way that clients are still able to submit bans. For that reason i cant run ahead of things that arnt confirmed.

But i guess that if all clients would be able to stream by clicking on 1 button that it would be not to hard, and i think that stream to all of them at once (which mostly never happens would also means stopping more cheaters).

But as you see, its alot of searching for possibilitys and solutions.
