Just spotted this on the NY Times web site via Digg, however not that I don't trust NY times, it's been confirmed via Activision's own web site. The combination of Activision and Vivendi Games, Activision Blizzard, will create the world's largest, most profitable pure-play video game publisher with some of the most popular titles in the industry, including Guitar Hero®, Call of Duty®, Tony Hawk, World of Warcraft®, Starcraft® and Diablo®.
Please check back regularly for updates regarding the transaction.

Not quite sure what you mean Wolverine, my experience with them has been nothing but good. They unlike EA, and even Activision a few years ago support their products. What corporation would not like to have WoW in its stable. That game is pure money for them, none of mine for that title but they have sold millions! I honestly wish they would have aqquired EA, because anything is an upgrade with them.
