Computer and video game.com has a short article with Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford:"It's a great franchise, and a lot of people love it, but I think somebody really needs to get hold of that franchise who cares about the subject matter and understands what the real promise and the fantasy is", Pitchford told us when we caught up with him earlier today at a press event in London.
- How true is that statement? Read the full article here (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=176507). - It should be noted, that they have their own World War II game coming out soon, called Brothers in Arms.

to little & far to late i really think any one with any sense will reject EA from now on
(they never listened to the people who actually bought there products so they lost big time)

All we wanted was the old MoH in a shinny new suit. a "MoH source" if you like. Old maps, new maps. Not just the classic maps but include Breakthrough and Pacific Assault too, with their game play as well. All with cool graphics, realistic physics. We don't need ranks, upgrades or unlocks, just a rifle and a pocket full of nades. A game of pure skill in a world where people don't jump six feet into the air and the only lasers are in freeze tag.

I bought it and if they are willing to fix it I will play it. I miss the ole MOH days way to much. I really felt burned on this game and lots of people really flamed EA over this.. I still have hope that something good will come out of it. If they continue to make the changes and support it.. I will keep it close and see how each change improves it or makes me set aside again. Its one of the few games I have that ages like the wines in my collection. I just hope this one ages and doesn't spoil.

Don't get me wrong.. EA completely mishandled this and thats putting it nicely. I just have to many fond memories of the OLE MOH DAYS! Especially Spearhead.

Brothers in Arms? Uh.. isn't that the game from a couple years ago? That sucked?

LordMaximus you may be surprised to see how many people are still playing the old school MoH. The community is small but very strong. I don't often play but when I do it's great fun.

There are some very dedicated clans that still play and compete at MoH:AA, hell we still have a MoH:AA server and its still up and running and has been for a long time and occasionally we all play together and have a blast. Its still a great fun, even today. I honestly don't think EA knows how beloved this franchise is/was until they totally destroyed it with dissapointing titles like PA and AB, its really sad. I agree, get it out of the clutches of EA and see what some other developer can do with it. I doubt it will ever happen but there is always hope...

I agree. I made a lot of friends playing Spearhead and also majorly pissed off my wife.. Oh well.. she pisses me off. Nothing is more fun than a good game of rifles only.

I defiantly know about the pissing off the wife.... It almost ended in divorce with me and the Misses. I was putting in 40 hours a week, and a full time job. With me it was playing liberation on Breakthrough, with a very competitive clan.
