Finally got the server up and running and things were going well. Although last night I edited my pbsv file and have since had problems I am not sure if they are related or not but here is the problem I am getting.

Me Punkbuster kicked Player "me" [for 0 minuets]...No Packet Flow

Any one able to tell me what I am doing wrong? Do I need to have a minimum amount of time in the pbsv file before calling tasks up? I.E. setting it to 30 for the first one is bad or? I also updated my game client using the pbs.exe program or a name close to it. My server has patch 1.2 as does the game client.

It looks like your client has the problem and not the server, update your pb manually disable your firewall if you have and try again.

Thanks mate, the reason I am thinking it is the server is I have played on another server with no problems. As soon as I hit my server I get this kick message. Quite frustrating to be honest.

I dod update my client punkbuster and no luck.....

Is that the WHOLE of your pbsv.cfg file?

I don't understand why you are executing it from your server config file - to get the messages?

1/ I would delete this from your server.cfg file :-

2/ If that is the whole of you current pbsv.cfg file, rename it svrmsgs.cfg (or similar), this will just be a file with your server messages in it. Like this :-

2/ By RCON issue the command pb_sv_write.cfg or /rcon pb_sv_write.cfg. This will tell the server to create a pbsv.cfg file in your pb folder.

3/ Open the pbsv.cfg file and you will see a whole lot of punkbuster settings. Leave them as they are for the moment (until you know what some of them do). But at the end of the file add the following line :-

pb_sv_load svrmsgs.cfg //server console messages

This line will get punkbuster to load and run the messages you placed in the file detailed above.

I hope this helps in some way.

Will try that shortly and let ya'll know how it goes.

Tried the above and when I go to do the rcon command using modern rcon v2 I get the following messages. Tried both ways that were mentioned above.

If you are already using an external rcon program, then you will not need the /rcon command, just the pb_sv_write.cfg command

Aye, tried this command and got the following pb_sv_write.cfg

O well had them nuke the server and will see if that then will allow me to stay connected. My fear is how do I get the scrolling messages to work right if I cant get the bloody punkbuster file to write.


EDIT:
Ok, nuking the server made it so I can stay connected it seems. So now how to get PB working right and an odd question. What is the time limit that we can ask PB to delay a message? I had messages starting at 30 seconds and ending at 670 seconds. Figured it would take a map or two to rotate through them but they wouldnt be bnched together creating a nasty spam.
