Matt, who is filling in for Blackhat while he and his wife are having a babby, has posted information regarding the next Airborne patch.

Airborne:

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Per family tradition, I spent mine in California Gold Country—highly recommended if you’re looking for someplace to spend your break next November.

First off, congratulate BlackHat. As of November 17, he is a father. I’m sure BabyHat will be posting here any day now.

In my last note, I promised to give you some details on the client-side patch we’ve been working on for December. I am happy to report the patch has gone alpha, and is currently in test and certification. I’ve been through dozens of playtests, and I’m convinced you’ll appreciate the improvements.

Among the new features are:Number of players has been raised to 24
We’ve added 2 NEW MULTIPLAYER MAPS, Varsity and Market Garden, both built specifically with the increased player counts in mind
Front end and score screens have been changed to handle the increased number of players
Server lists are now much easier to navigate
All weapons have been tuned and rebalanced
Clan tag support has been added
You can now assign yourself a player name which is different from your login
Spawn points have been adjusted in all maps
As always, post questions and comments. We will integrate your feedback into future updates! Before the holidays, I’ll come back to you with another update.
Thanks.

Well looks like they working on the basics that any MP should have.
To bad they still not working on different game type.TDM it is 3 different flavors just don't cut it.
Player count should increse to double from what it is now.

At least they are fixing some issues. Better late than never, if your still playing the game.

looks to me like not 1 person has played COD4 as they would just stop all work on airborne & bury it so they can move on to something different well away from PC & FPS games if they dont EA will soon be over

With CoD4 here and now, fully functional out of box, tourneys, ladders and leagues starting for it, myself and my team are clearly focused on it now. I believe we will wait till version 1.4 and run it as a "retro-weekend" game since EA took forever to get to what was needed from the get-go. MoH:AB clearly pales in comparison to CoD4 from top to bottom, in a way I am kinda glad all of this happened because I learned many lessons.

1) I was clearly mistaken in choosing MoH:AB for my team instead of CoD4, I'm such a dumbass :) .

2) EA truly showed us all what they are in it for and that is a quick buck and damn the consumer, feed him any bullcrap and they will buy it based on non-factual information released to public.

3) Assurances and promises even from the top (EA suits) mean absolutely nothing because what they say and do are two entirely different things.

4) Activision seems to have a better feel for what the FPS gaming community wants and needs from a game release and it clearly shows.

5) Activision listens and acts on suggestions from the gaming community, EA simply asks for suggestions but never intends to listen and actually use it.

6) I should listen to Rude more often hehe.

Winner: Activision Loser: EA
