Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare™ 1.1 Patch

DESCRIPTION:

This is the release of the v1.1 Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare™ patch by Infinity Ward.

This patch addresses the issue of Rank / Stat resets reported by users moving from a Modded / Un-ranked server to a non Modded / Ranked Server. This update is not intended to revert back any previously lost rank, but to prevent the issue from happening in the future.

INSTALLATION:

* Download the file below
* Unzip all files into your main Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare™ folder, default is C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare, overwriting as necessary

NOTE:

An automatic installer for this patch is coming soon.

This is a client patch, not a server patch. Players will still be able to connect to 1.0 servers after they update their clients.

I had already updated my Server with this before the part about it being client side only was added.

I assume it's not going to actually hurt anything though right? The server has been fine since the update.

nah, i updated mine, it just means the clients have to be updated to join.

OK. Just some more info on this patch. I set-up a quick scrim with a guy and logged into his server. He had the mod folder called and when I logged in it downloaded the z_ file to me and then my game crapped out with a DX error. Low and behold my stats/rank is gone again and I am patched!! So looks like the fix didn't work.

good thing i had my player folder backed up this time. ;)
