cod4master.activision.com working

Reports from IW.com seem to indicate that connecting to Call of Duty 4 servers are working now. I have not yet tried this am, but things sound good. Please report if you're still having issues connecting or your clients are having issues connecting to Call of Duty 4 servers.

- Update 6:23am EST (-5GMT) seems I was able to connect to the RGN server within 6 seconds of starting the actual game. yes the game. 6 seconds to fire up the short cut, select my profile (kids LOL) and find a server to join. Looks like things are working for the time being.

Well it seems to be fixed, i have connected several times and no reconnect needed.

7:30 AM EST, connected "instantly" to a 50 slot ranked server. There was ZERO wait time and I was in the battle field duking it out perfectly.

Lets hope that this continues .................................................. .......

Bravo to IW for busting their arses on this one. My understanding is that the master servers have always been a function of the parent company Activision. Once it became apparent that there were major issues IW moved to bring the servers back home under their dirrect control.

Lets hope IW continues this trend and moves away from Activision for good.

yep no one on my clan tonight got any connection issues - awesome.

Last night 9.00 uk time myself or any one in the clan couldn't connect to anything our server showed on
http://stats.callofduty.com/ but still couldn't get into it or any others ?

How come on console it says sending heartbeat to cod4master.activision.com if IW has the servers now.:confused:

Server is still in the same data center and more then likely the same box, however IW has admin and root access over it.

I would assume, IW's offices are also on the same network as Activsion as they are owned by Activision.

iv set it all up but when i start the server is says
