Disable Death Nades

I'm trying to disable death nades, very annoying when FF is enabled. I've placed . . .

set perk_allow_specialty_grenadepulldeath 0

. . . in config.cfg and restarted the server, no joy. Ideas? Thanks!

From what I understand, you can only change those settings in a config file located in your fs_game folder. I could be wrong, but I thought I read that all of the perks and weapons canges need to be in there, and by doing so your server is rendered unranked.

What's the downside of being unranked? Any? We aren't interested in clan matches or the like.

In my experience, unranked servers see very little traffic as playing on them does not give you points towards unlocks that can be used on all ranked servers.

Thanks, Boy. Only thing i'm not clear on is the kind of config changes that can result in an unranked server. Whatever we've done thus far, advancing ranks are not a problem.

Just posted this in another thread. Someone correct me if this is wrong.

From everything I have read, anything that you change in the server config file located in your "main" folder will not affect ranking. If it would affect the ranking, the game ignores it. In order to remove the ranking, and make whatever change you are trying to make that is not allowed on a ranked server, you would have to put that in a config file in the mods (fs_game) folder.
