SP game asking for CD [Archive]

2 of my guys get the following error when trying to play single player, "insert the correct DVD-ROM" error even with the disk in the drive. The multiplayer works fine. These are both valid copies of the game.

I haven't seen this answered anywhere so I thought I'd ask here.

They may want to go find the No-DVD crack for the game. Personally, I have the crack because I installed my game and I put my DVD back in the jewel case and put it up high, out of the reach of my 5 yr old son. Otherwise he will get his grubby hands on it and scratch it up like he did my COD2 CDs, and that was absolutely no fun whatsoever. So that is what I would do.

Thanks. I didn't want to suggest that but it seeme it's the only option.

Were you able to install it from that drive tho? I have a SATA DVD burner which was fine for installing,
but when i wanted to play SP, it gave that same damn error..

I ended up putting an old dvd-reader in the pc just to play SP..
