server list wont refresh?

Hey

I installed COD4 on my vista laptop just to test stuff out (I run xp on my gaming rig at home) and for whatever reason it seems that it wont communicate with the master server or something. Whenever I click "refresh list" it just says "waiting for response from master server" in the upper left corner. The firewall is completely OFF and is directly connected to the net...no router or anything....I dont get it.

When I add a server (ours) it shows up in the favorites list but when i try and join it counts up to 10 or 11 and says "server connection timed out". I know the server is working just fine because everyone else can connect to it from the net and I can connect to it from home just fine.

Any one have any idea why this might be?

Not sure on this but i installed the game earlier on today and everything was working fine .But now when i go to refresh the list i'am getting waiting for master server i can still connect to the servers i have in my favorites ok. so maybe the master server is down

They were having problems with the master servers yesterday so I am betting this is a continuation of that. I just checked and I have the same problem right now.

yep, they said it could take a few days for some people for their new servers to work properly.

All appears to be fine again now the list refreshes for me now
