Ping Port

Hi Guys,

Extremely long time reader, first time poster.

I have been playing around with an Airborne Server for my Aussie Clan and 1 thing has me stumped.

The ping will not show in the ingame browser unless I disable the Servers Firewall.

If the firewall is off, the ping shows, if the firewall is on, the ping shows as ??? despite having every port known to mankind for this game open.

Im running a stock standard basic default ports, 10000, 13500, 18240 & 18245

There is no router causing issues, as our BF2, SH, TS and every other server work fine.

Im at a loss, been working on it since the patch and its doing my head in :eek:

I have been through here, opened up every port people have mentioned, nothing.

Any Ideas, or have I missed something totally stupid like have a port set to tcp when it should be udp.

Im lost.. Please Help :confused:

PS - Rudedog, havent had a chance until now, but as this has beaten me down I need to :salute: you for keeping us up to date with the real deal on Airborne.

Ping uses ICMP, which like tcp and udp is its own protocol. So check your firewall for ICMP or ICMP echo. If you see ICMP echo, allow that (it's more strict that allowing all ICMP).
