games_mp.log help

hi all any one know about the games_mp.log.
dose it refresh itself after so long or will it keep going and end up with a big file.
can u delete it and start agen,
do u need the server to stop to do this,

No it doesnt refresh itself. I usually save mine every couple days then delete the info from the .log and save it (not save as). Otherwise you will end up with one huge file.

i dont have a games_mp.log file in my Call of Duty/main folder. I cant see any log file at all. Is this normal?

My server configs all have set logfile "1"

and set g_log "games_mp.log"

but no file

if it's a rented server then it could be in a hidden dir liek ours is. try checking for a .callofduty/main on the ftp an see if it's in there.

yep it should be in the root folder.... >.callofduty

like u say guys it is a rented server and it good to have the log as you can go in and have a look at how the the game was running and if any one was mucking about on the server .

but i have found out how to sort my prob,
in my cfg just rename the game_mp.log and it will start a new one
must exec the new cfg 1st.
