Hello all

Thought id post here seeing as yous know what yous are talking bout most of the time ;) :D

Was just wondering if you could help me
As youve sen by the topic name..i need to improve my FPS

Ive posted the following on the EA MOH forums, but doubt ill get a good answer. please help if you can

I was trying to figure out ways of boosting my FPS...as it currently doesnt jump past 45-60 (incl FRAPS)

Im convinved the answer lies within the DefaultLauncherSettings file

Which contains settings such as

bTickLODAnims=True
bAllowDynamicDecals=True
bAllowDynamicLights=True
bAllowDynamicShadows=True
b AllowLightEnvironmentShadows=True

But even when all these are turn off, i.e. set to False and every other convievable option is lowered regarding dynamic lighting and shadow, it still doesnt improve

The lights at the splash screen are removed etc, but not ingame

I can still see reflections in the water, the lights are still dynamic as they move as i do in the reflections and on the floor and i really have no need for these whatsoever

Does anyone out there have any programming knowledge or tips as to how to turn these things of to help us users with the bare minimum.

Thanks

I cant figure it out for the life of me

It is because Punkbuster is chewing up CPU cycles like crazy.

On a dual core system, anyone try setting the affinity for PB on a different cpu than the game?
